G’day, I’m Jake and I live in the best place on earth, the Gold Coast. Queensland Holidays has grown from my passion for travel and exploring this beautiful destination often referred to as the Sunshine State, and for very good reason.

I may be biased, but when it comes to a destination that has it all Queensland is hard to beat. From sunlit crystal oceans, coral reefs and beautiful beaches through to rainforests, waterfalls and mountains, an abundance of wildlife and some even wilder people (in a good way, of course), the state of QLD is a truly epic place to holiday.

Queensland Holidays was created to showcase the best our state has to offer from a local’s perspective. Toss out the tourist guide, and instead discover local secrets which may make your stay in our beautiful region even more memorable.

I’d like to think I can offer you the local knowledge required to experience the best of this amazing state.

All of our blog posts are researched and written from scratch.  We can’t review every single aspect in person (believe me, I’d absolutely love to!) but I do conduct extensive market research amongst my own community of local travel agents and travel bloggers as the basis of my recommendations.  It takes a long time to do this, but it means you don’t have to.
